Bundaberg Region Rising
The Foundation for The Sustainable Economic Recovery for the Bundaberg Region Ltd (also known as Bundaberg Region Rising) has been established to raise funds as a result of the devastation of natural disasters in the Bundaberg Region. Initially, fundraising occurred following the floods of 2010/11 and more recently of the Australia Day tornadoes and record flooding on the following days.
Bundaberg Region Rising is mainly interested in the recovery of the Bundaberg Region’s Economy through fundraising for investment into promoting the region’s business and industry sector and also to raise funds for investment into future “iconic projects” that will benefit the whole of the region’s economy, for many years into the future. These aims are not only about recovering the economy of the Bundaberg Region but also about recovering and re-establishing the resident’s pride in their community. Our most recent initiative is to provide heavily subsidised training for Bundaberg Region businesses locally in Bundaberg and delivered by the Australian institute of Marketing.
